IST solvent Recovery Range
 |
With increasing environmental
and financial costs for the disposal of contaminated solvents
and toxics, there are very few options available except the
complete suspension or substitution of solvent based products.
Unfortunately many production processes require solvent to delivery the high
quality products, on a tight timescale that consumers demand.
Water and citrus based alternatives have been developed, with varying results
which are often of a poorer quality and higher in cost.
Another alternative is to re-use contaminated materials, minimising environmental
costs (increased production of materials, transportation and disposal of spent
materials) and maximising financial savings (volume reduction and minimal disposal).

The Fercell IST range of solvent recovery units are high performance
batch and automatic operating, solvent recovery systems, designed
for numerous
commercial/industrial including:• Body Shop
(Automotive)
• Cosmetic
• Electronics (Printed Circuit)
• Engineers
• GRP
• Joinery (Furniture)
• Paint
• Pharmaceutical
• Plastic & Rubbers
• Print (Photopolymer, Flexographic, Screen & Litho)
The IST range has evolved over many years and through countless applications,
resulting in a highly developed range of industrial solvent recovery
solutions.
  |
The comprehensive range starts from simply batch process systems
to automatic systems, incorporating load/unload pump systems.
The proven mechanical control systems have been further developed with the introduction
of PCB and state of the art micro-processor control systems.
Fercell’s experienced and technical expertise enables the flexibility to
provide bespoke systems to meet complex process demands.
The recovery process is based on the principle of distillation, where non-volatile
share contaminants (oils, paints, pigments, polymers, etc) are separated from
the volatile share (original material).
The material is heated, indirectly, by a heat transfer fluid promoting excellent
thermal efficiency and minimising hot spots. The vaporised share is conveyed,
at atmospheric pressure, through a series of tension pipes and to a cooling battery
where it is condensed into liquid form.
The clean recovered material is discharged from the unit into a suitable holding
vessel, while the non-volatile share (bi-product) is contained within a high
temperature resistant, disposable collection sack inside the separation tank.
The IST range is complemented by both pneumatically and electrically operated
vacuum generation units, enabling the recovery of temperature sensitive, higher
boiling point and auto igniting materials.
